Upper Bolton Farm
Self catering holiday cottages in East Lothian - Farmhouse bed and breakfast in East Lothian.
Upper Bolton is a 370 acre family run farm, near Haddington in East Lothian. The farm is mainly arable but we also lamb 300 ewes in March and run a small herd of pedigree Dexter cattle.
On this traditional working farm we offer farmhouse bed and breakfast or you can stay in one of our two self catering cottages.
Upper Bolton is just 2 miles from the conservation village of Gifford which has 2 pubs serving food, a village shop with cashpoint, a newsagent with post office and a coffee shop. Haddington is 3 miles away and has much to offer: sports centre, swimming pool, squash courts, tennis courts, supermarkets, banks, post office, health centre and a variety of independent shops.
Upper Bolton Farm is an ideal base for touring the beautiful East Lothian countryside, 30 minutes from Edinburgh, 15 minutes from the coast and ideal for golfers with over twelve courses within the surrounding area, including championship courses at Gullane and Muirfield and other good courses at Aberlady, Gifford, Craigielaw and North Berwick. The Glenkinchie distillery is just 5 miles away.
East Lothian is a beautiful area and one of Scotland's best kept secrets with fine stretches of coastline, miles of sandy beaches, gentle rolling hills and broad open plains - the perfect place to find peace and tranquillity and enjoy a relaxing holiday.
